This survey demonstrates 'screen outs' - a vital part of online research when niche samples are required from large access panels which can never know everything about everyone (thankfully).

Usually we would not notify people of the screen out criteria (to prevent biasing responses) but we would notify people that there was a screener. Traditionally researchers are loathe to do this but we find respondents appreciate the more courteous and open approach.

This survey is about programming ruby on rails applications using javascript and so you will be screened out if you are old or can colour co-ordinate your clothes without calling your Mum.
